Joju Privacy Policy

Effective date: 25 June 2026 · App: Joju (com.custavia.joju) · iOS (Android coming)

Joju is a bilingual learning, stories and parenting app for children aged 0–5. This policy explains, in plain language, what Joju does with your information — which is, in short: keep it on your device.

The short version

  • Everything stays on your phone. Joju has no account and no server of ours; your data never leaves the device unless you choose to share it.
  • No ads, no tracking, no analytics. No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or crash SDKs, no behavioural profiles.
  • The app works fully offline — all the games, stories, rhymes and guides are bundled in.
  • It uses your camera/photos only when you add a photo, and notifications only for the reminders you set.
  • You can delete everything by removing items in the app or by uninstalling it.

1. Who we are

Joju is made by Custavia. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@custavia.com. This mailbox is monitored.

2. No account, no cloud

Joju does not ask you to sign up or sign in. There is no Joju account and no Joju server that stores your information. Everything you do in the app is saved in Joju's private storage on your own device, and stays there. We do not receive a copy.

3. What Joju stores on your device

So the app can do its job, it keeps the following on your phone — and only on your phone:

  • Your child's profile — the name, birthday, and an optional profile photo you add.
  • Your activity — milestones you mark, journal photos and notes, quiz scores and streaks, vaccine records, baby-expense entries, and any parent notes you write.
  • Your settings — such as language and reminder preferences.

This information is stored locally in the app's private area. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

4. What we do not collect

To be specific, Joju does not:

  • Send your personal data to us — there is no server to send it to.
  • Use your precise location or GPS.
  • Read your contacts.
  • Use advertising identifiers (IDFA, GAID) — there are no ads.
  • Include any third-party analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDK.

We do not sell or share your data, because we never receive it in the first place.

5. Permissions the app may ask for

  • Camera & Photos — only when you choose to add a photo of your child or create a keepsake. The photo is saved on your device and used only inside the app.
  • Notifications — only to deliver the reminders you set, such as a daily play nudge or a vaccine due-date reminder. These are scheduled locally on your device; no reminder content is sent anywhere.

You can change or revoke these permissions any time in your phone's Settings.

6. Sharing is something you do

Some features let you share — a keepsake image, or an immunization record, for example. When you tap Share, your phone's own share sheet hands the file to whichever app you pick (Messages, Instagram, email, and so on). That is you choosing to share it; Joju never sends anything on its own.

7. Voices & audio

Stories, rhymes and many word pronunciations play audio that is bundled inside the app. Where Joju falls back to your phone's built-in text-to-speech voice, that speech is produced by your device's operating system under its own terms — Joju sends it the text to read, nothing about you.

8. Health information

Joju's symptom guide and medicine-dose calculator are general information for parents, not medical advice, and never a substitute for a doctor. Anything you enter — such as a weight to calculate a dose — is used on the device in that moment and is not stored or sent.

9. Children

Joju is designed for parents and caregivers to use with young children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone and contains no ads and no third-party content, there is nothing for it to gather about a child.

10. Data security & retention

Your information lives in the app's private storage on your device for as long as you keep it. You can remove individual items — a journal entry, an expense, a vaccine record — inside the app at any time, or remove everything at once by uninstalling Joju.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above will change accordingly. If a future version of Joju ever adds an optional cloud backup or family-sync feature, we will update this policy first and make any new data flow clear and opt-in.
